Water Wrath Air Awakens Series Book 4 Volume 4 Elise Kova Books
Brilliant addition to the 'Air Awakens' series! ‘Water’s Wrath’ picks up where ‘Earth’s End’ left off; Vhalla has gone into hiding. She has settled into a new routine of learning from books and recording her dreams of Prince Aldrik’s memories, created by the Bond they share. However, she does not remain hidden for long as troops return to The Crossroads and the South, now that the war has ended. Lady Vhalla Yarl’s entry into Court is spectacular, and it seems more than just her friends have missed her. This fourth entry to author Elise Kova’s elemental magic series focuses more on crystal magic and Crown Prince Aldrik and his family’s past. All our favorite characters have returned to play a role, Aldrik, Baldair, Jax, Elicia, Frtiz, and Grahm. Due to the amount of personal history uncovered, this might be the most emotionally wrenching in the series.
The last 25% of this book is full of nail-biting page-turning action and the surprise ending may just knock your socks off. Looking forward to ‘Crystal Crowned’ later this year!

Water Wrath Air Awakens Series Book 4 Volume 4 Elise Kova Books Reviews
Elise Kova was kind enough to provide me an ARK to review for Water's Wrath.
Elise Kova's fourth installment continues to illuminate the Air Awaken's world. Water's Wrath picks up a couple of months after Earth's End leaves off. Vhal is hiding in plain site, trying to avoid both her enemies and allies.
Water's Wrath is a roller coaster of a novel. There are too many twists and turns to count. While some of plot is predictable, most of the book is like Space Mountain, leaving the reader blind, breathless and in fear of what is to come.
In Water's Wrath, Kova gives the readers a chance to bond with Jax and TIm as they bond with Vhal. Vhal continues to grow. She learns to be more self-sufficient, independent, and willing to stand up to her enemies. However, she continues to make mistakes, sometimes at great cost to herself and others by not communicating. Her relationship with Aldrik evolves in Water's Wrath in a positive way.
My love for Baldair increased tenfold (and I already loved him). And I just can't say anymore about him without getting overly emotional....
While Emperor Solaris was enemy numero uno in Earth's End, he takes a back seat in Water's Wrath to two "new" antagonists. The newest threat to the Solaris empire was not unexpected but HOW he usurped power and control was novel and ingenious.
And the end, my God, the end... There are no words for how well Kova set up the finale for Crystal Crowned. Water's Wrath ends in both despair and hope.
Overall, Water's Wrath was thoroughly enjoyable. I cannot say that it is my favorite (Fire Falling is still my favorite from the series) but it is a well written novel that perfectly sets up the final installment of the Air Awaken's world. I cannot wait to see how this series will end.
Leave it to Elise Kova to give you everything you want in a twisted guiltridden package. This book I must say is my least favorite out of the entire series. It wasn't a bad book by any means just left me wanting more. It felt too slow in some places and rushed in others. I assume it really is setting things up for the final book. So if you have read the first three books in the Air Awakens series this is clearly a must read but I must admit it left me wanting more... Vehalla's character is very off putting in this book. She just wants stupid mistakes that by now there is no excuse for. One of the things I loved about the main character was her growth and maturity. In this story she comes across as some loved sick girl who doesn't know much about the world. Trusting your enemies to keep there word? Novice move at best. Along with some other things I just wanted more.

So one of the most disappointing things was the prince's death. It was sudden and lack luster at best. It just seemed so sudden and impersonal. I literally read about him dying with little attachment what so ever while I felt very attached to him in the last book. I am also disipointed in the emerperior's death. I mean, you have been rooting for this guy to get killed since book one and then you have to read about it from a third person source. I saw the whole, it's Victor, thing coming. Though I must admit I was curious throughout the entire book who was on the cover. I always had my doubts about him so it wasn't surprising. I felt as if it would be more heart breaking if he did someting to make you more attached to him as a character.
