I love this book for our three children, with little help of our oldest sibling child our three year old has understood this. With me being foreign to this country I honestly enjoy books like this too, even though it states a grade but we haven't been taught this kind of history of the U.S. it was more of a broader spectrum. I like the fact that you could use this book also for homeschooling material because of the facts and then the visual and amazing pictures. It has amazing pictures in it and that is what our children adore the most of all books are pictures so it is easier to learn since they are visual learners. If your child is not a visual learner this book would also them because it has facts in it as well. I have received this book for discounted or free in return for an unbiased review. Who Lives On The Moon Moon Facts Second Grade Geography Series 2nd Grade Books Children Astronomy Space Books eBook Baby Professor Reviews
This book is fairly short and that works well for younger children with a short attention span. I would say this book is best for the 4-6 year old range. As with all the Baby Professor series the pictures are stunning. Adults and children alike will enjoy learning new facts. Even as an adult I enjoyed the book and wish it was longer.
It loses a star due to some grammar errors.
It is a great little book that is delivered in bite size pieces for young children to understand and enjoy. Each page features a fact and a pertinent picture. These are a great starting point for a deeper conversation that you can tailor to their age and curiosity. I recommend reading the version on a computer or color tablet to get the full effect of the color pictures.
I received the opportunity to review many of the Baby Professor books and I highly recommend them. I love the idea of electronic books. You can download a whole bunch of different books for the kids to read. Kids will love to read them over and over again and enjoy the pictures. I love that they are learning based and not just silly little stories with no meaning. I have no problem letting them sit down with the tablet and look through books, plus it is portable!
Disclosure I received this product when it was free to download for all buyers. I did not guarantee a positive review and was not compensated for reviewing the product.

Great book about the moon! Another great book by Baby Professor and Speedy Publishing. This one gives great pictures of the moon to keep your child interested for more than a few moments. Great combination of artist renderings as well as photographs. I have noticed two things about Baby Professor's books tend to use bigger words for the target audience thus lending the reader the opportunity to ask their teachers, parents or other adult what that word might mean opening conversation within the educational system. The reader may also be expanding their vocabulary quickly with Baby Professor books. This is awesome for the reader as it allows an educational learning experience not just on the subject of the book. Also most of the photographs of Baby Professor books could be hung on the wall as an art form.
This book Who lives on the Moon is again one of the best books on about this subject. Fantastic renderings and photos of the moon as well as great explanations.
My grandson is in 2nd grade, is an avid reader, he reads way above his school grade. He told me that vivid pictures allow him to use his imagine to transport him to another place and time. He would love to have this book in print to add to his extensive library, I may have to buy it for him and I am very willing to do so.

Nice little book for kids.
The Moon is in synchronous rotation with Earth, always showing the same face with its near side marked by dark volcanic maria that fill between the bright ancient crustal highlands and the prominent impact craters. It is the second-brightest regularly visible celestial object in Earth's sky after the Sun, as measured by illuminance on Earth's surface. Although it can appear a very bright white, its surface is actually dark, with a reflectance just slightly higher than that of worn asphalt. Its prominence in the sky and its regular cycle of phases have, since ancient times, made the Moon an important cultural influence on language, calendars, art, and mythology.
The Moon's gravitational influence produces the ocean tides, body tides, and the slight lengthening of the day. The Moon's current orbital distance is about thirty times the diameter of Earth, causing it to have an apparent size in the sky almost the same as that of the Sun, with the result that the Moon covers the Sun nearly precisely in total solar eclipse. This matching of apparent visual size is a coincidence.
